Arctic Circle Husky丨Rova Husky

Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Rova Husky in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland.

We want every guest to have a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience with our huskies. The following terms provide some important information about visiting our farm and taking part in our activities.

By visiting our farm or participating in one of our experiences, you agree to follow these guidelines and to respect our dogs, our staff and the farm environment.

1. Bookings

Our experiences are booked through our booking partner. When making a reservation, you will be redirected to the booking platform where you can find the current availability, prices and booking conditions.

Your booking, payment, cancellation and refund conditions are subject to the terms provided by the booking platform and/or the service provider responsible for your reservation.

If you have any questions about your booking, please contact us or the booking provider indicated in your booking confirmation.

2. Animal Welfare

The wellbeing of our huskies is one of our highest priorities.

Our dogs are working animals and each dog has individual needs, personalities and limits. For this reason, not every dog will participate in every activity or be available to meet guests at all times.

We reserve the right to change which dogs participate in an activity depending on their health, energy levels, age, working schedule, weather conditions and overall wellbeing.

Guests are expected to treat all animals with care and respect and to follow the instructions given by our guides and staff.

3. Safety and Following Instructions

Many of our experiences involve interacting with dogs and taking part in outdoor activities.

For your own safety and the safety of our huskies, guests must follow the instructions provided by our guides and staff at all times.

Guests should not approach, feed, touch or interact with the dogs unless instructed or permitted by our staff.

Please inform our staff before the activity if you have any concerns that may affect your ability to safely participate.

4. Appropriate Clothing

Arctic weather conditions can be challenging, particularly during the winter season. Guests are responsible for wearing suitable clothing and footwear for the conditions.

5. Children and Minors

Children and minors are welcome at our farm, but their safety is the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

All guests under 18 years of age must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult while at the farm. Children must not be left unattended during activities or elsewhere on the farm premises.

Sled Rides

For safety reasons, children under 3 years of age are not permitted to participate in sled rides.

Children who are permitted to participate in a sled ride must be accompanied by an adult and remain seated together with the accompanying adult in the sled. Children should not ride alone.

Self-Driving Experiences

For experiences where guests are allowed to drive a husky sled, the driver must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Meet the required height and weight limits for the specific activity
  • Be physically able to safely operate the sled
  • Follow all instructions given by our guides and staff

The height and weight requirements may vary depending on the specific sled and activity.

Our staff reserve the right to assess whether a guest is able to safely drive the sled. If a guest does not meet the required age, height, weight or other safety requirements, they will not be permitted to drive and must participate as a passenger instead.

In such cases, the guest may ride as a passenger while another eligible person operates the sled.

Children must always ride together with a responsible adult when participating in a sled experience. The accompanying adult is responsible for ensuring that the child remains safely seated and follows the instructions provided by our guides.

6. Arrival and Punctuality

Please arrive at the farm at the time stated in your booking information.

If you arrive late, we may not be able to extend or repeat the activity, as our experiences operate according to a planned schedule and the welfare and working routines of our huskies need to be respected.

Any consequences of late arrival are subject to the booking conditions of the relevant booking provider.

7. Photography and Filming

During your visit, our staff may take photographs or videos of guests and the activities at our farm. These images may be used for our website, social media, marketing materials, and may also be shared with our business partners for promotional purposes.

By participating in an activity at our farm, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs or videos taken during your visit and that we may use such material for the purposes described above.

If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used on our website or in promotional materials, please let us know in advance or speak to a member of our staff upon arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to respect your request.

Personal photography and filming by guests is welcome, provided that it does not interfere with the activities, other guests, our staff, or the wellbeing of our huskies. Please follow any instructions from our staff regarding photography and filming.

Commercial use of photographs or videos taken at the farm requires our prior permission.

8. Respect for the Farm and Our Environment

Our farm is a working husky farm and a home to more than 150 huskies.

We kindly ask all guests to respect our dogs, staff, facilities and the surrounding environment.

Please do not enter restricted areas or approach animals without permission.

Any behaviour that puts people, animals or property at risk may result in the guest being asked to leave the premises.

9. Health and Personal Responsibility

Guests participate in our experiences at their own responsibility and should consider their own physical abilities and any relevant personal circumstances before taking part.

Some activities may involve walking on uneven, snowy or icy surfaces, interacting with working dogs, and exposure to cold weather.

If you have any concerns about whether an activity is suitable for you, please contact us before booking.

10. Force Majeure and Exceptional Circumstances

Our experiences take place outdoors in the Arctic environment of Rovaniemi, where weather conditions can change quickly.

In exceptional circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we may need to change, suspend or cancel an experience.

Such circumstances may include severe weather, extreme temperatures, unsafe trail or snow conditions, natural events, infrastructure problems, animal welfare concerns, or other circumstances that may make it unsafe or impractical to provide the experience as planned. For the safety and wellbeing of our guests, staff and huskies, we reserve the right to modify, shorten, postpone or, when necessary, cancel an activity due to such circumstances.

11. Responsibility and Liability

We take reasonable measures to ensure that our activities are carried out safely and professionally.

However, outdoor activities and interactions with animals involve inherent risks. Guests are responsible for following safety instructions and acting responsibly throughout their visit.

12. Applicable Terms and Consumer Rights

These Terms & Conditions are intended to provide general information about visiting our farm and participating in our experiences.

Where a specific experience has additional terms, those terms will also apply and will be provided as part of the booking process.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any mandatory rights you may have under applicable Finnish or European Union consumer protection legislation.
